Picture
Where land masses meet seas and oceans. This logo is used for the land and aquatic portion of coasts. It is also used to represent marine environments.

Reef

Waters dominated by the calcareous calcium carbonate skeletons of coral. Usually found in warm, shallow water with low nutrient content and these reefs form the basis for diverse aquatic communities.

Pelagic

Aquatic biome consisting of large expanses of ocean but not including the ocean floor.

Benthic

Marine habitats on or near the bottom of the body of water.

Deep sea vent

Areas of the deep sea floor where hot sulphur rich water is released from the ocean floor.
